Hi Robbie! My process was to write a really big check to a fabulous tour company, get on a ship, head south to Antarctica, stroll on the beach of a volcanic atoll called Deception Island, find some neat abandoned metal structures, whip my camera out of the pocket of my parka, and snap away. I would recommend this process without reservation to all my friends and readers, and please feel free to use it yourself without worrying about stealing my ideas.
thanks, Tom! one of the great (although terribly belated) moments in my art career came when I figured out how to use the macro focus button on my camera
What a great piece! How about an explanation on it or your process?

ReplyDeleteWay too interesting and cool of a piece! I love this! And the 'story' behind it! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou have a great eye for color and composition, Kathy. Most people would only see the object and not the detail.
