  1. I really like the wide - not sure what correct term is, but what did you use to create the wide black strokes? And the paler watercolor like strokes - love that.

  2. The very wide strokes are from a Japanese calligraphy brush (about one inch long, and bristles start off in a 1/4 inch bundle, tapering to a point). I used the same brush for the pale brown wash, which is walnut ink diluted in water. As you can probably tell, I didn't always let the black ink dry before putting on the wash.
